May signed a design contract with Nanjing Glass Fiber Research and Design Institute.
In June, Zhao Qian, president of Nanjing Glass Fiber Research and Design Institute, led a team to Lin to hold a seminar on the initial design plan of the project, and Zhang Fuxiang, secretary-general of China Glass Fiber Association, was invited to attend the meeting.
In August, the project was listed as a key project in Henan Province.
In September, civil works were fully started.
In December, the signing ceremony of imported equipment was organized, and the supply contracts of twisting machine, drawing machine and electric melting were signed with verdol of France, Shimadzu of Japan and Elce of Britain respectively.
