Guangyuan New Material Lean Operation Management Project Successfully Advances

Lean Operation Management Project is one of the key management improvement activities of Guangyuan New Material in 2022. After the kick-off meeting on July 26, the project team has been working hard and all the work has been progressing smoothly as planned. This period mainly starts from management capacity improvement, efficiency and quality improvement and team building. General Manager Ning Xiangchun is the project leader, and there are three execution groups including Lean Efficiency Improvement Group, Team Building Group and Six Sigma Quality Improvement Group.

The training on the topic of "Six Sigma Green Belt Talent Development" was the first to start, and managers at all levels attended the training. The training adopts the model of seven groups identifying seven quality topics to be improved and combining theoretical and practical coaching in groups. The lecturer combined the content of the teaching materials and carefully taught the meaning of lean production, the role of Six Sigma quality tools and the value of integration of lean and Six Sigma.

In terms of team building, with the standardization of 5S and visual management at the site of electronic yarn phase II project, the 5S promotion manual and assessment objectives have been sorted out and completed, and the list of 79 finishing stage problems in four model areas has been completed through site visits and meeting seminars, and the first draft of the standardization manual has been formed. At present, the sample area improvement program is being developed.

In order to improve the management ability of team leaders, we have carried out "Gold Team Leader" ability improvement training and 5S management training course on cleaning and literacy improvement. In the course, the knowledge was explained systematically and comprehensively through case sharing and interaction of difficult points, which greatly stimulated everyone's enthusiasm and confidence in work.

The efficiency improvement project focuses on the improvement of the yield rate of the original yarn branch, and has initially completed the manual of the operation specification of the drawing operation, and set up a special person to follow up on the reduction of the number of wire breakage, compression of wire breakage time and spare parts replacement time, etc. The improvement is in progress. At the same time, the project team has arranged a competition program for the "lead-up wire operation", which will be implemented at the first time.

After more than a month of management activities, everyone has gradually integrated the lean management concept into their work habits and gradually adapted to the performance management, quality and efficiency improvement and continuous improvement mindset. In the next step, the teams will further strengthen their ability to use lean management tools through special topic setting, theoretical knowledge teaching and practical training implementation in accordance with the project objectives, and continuously promote the effective improvement of the company's management level.
